I’m back from my 5-day Caribbean cruise! I definitely gained weight on the cruise because all I did was eat! Meh. Since the allergic rash on my body aren’t quite fully gone and I had just finished my medication so I didn’t want to risk it by laying out in the sun or going swimming in case it makes a comeback. Which is a damn shame because I was in the Caribbeans! There is pretty much nothing else to do there but go to the beach or do water sports and sadly I didn’t get to enjoy neither. :( Lol it’s always funny to see teenagers traveling around in packs on cruises, oh and hogging up all of the hot tubs!! Damn horny teenagers. Well, I shouldn’t be complaining because I was one just not too long ago. Sigh, high school: I don’t miss you one bit.

Anyway, I actually didn’t wear much makeup on the cruise even though I brought along my LORAC palette, which by the way, is an excellent palette for travel for those of you that are wondering. So when I got back the I played around with the palette and here is a look I came up with. Keep in mind that it’s kind of hard to go crazy with this palette, everything is so neutral! I love it.

I’m in LOVE with the blush. Here is a better view of it:

Face:
- Mineral makeup mix
- Lancome Effacernes concealer Claire II

Cheeks:
- LORAC blush in Superstar

Eyes:
- Shiseido brow duo
- UDPP
- All of the shadows except for the gold one in the center and the brown one on the upper right corner. (Too lazy to look up the names :P )
- L’Oreal HIP cream liner in Brown
- Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara

Lips:
- Smashbox gloss in 35mm

Question: you know how you are supposed to “set” your foundation with powder?  Well what about mineral foundation? It’s already in powder form! Does anyone still sets it with translucent powder?   Just curious.

Also, this is for Chiara: I will try to do a little tutorial on how I line my eyes just for you ;)   It’s actually the most time consuming step for me next to blending eyeshadow, and I always mess up lol.

I’m sorry that you didn’t get to do that many things on your trip. :( But at least you got a change of scenery, and that’s always good. :)

Love the look. It’s one of those fresh faced/natural looks. :) Very pretty. :D Yep, with mineral foundation you set it with a finishing powder or mineral veil. :) Also, you can using a fix it spray like “Model in a Bottle”. I don’t use anything to fix my mineral foundation, I find that I don’t really need to as long as I use a good primer. :)

I saw that palette at Sephora yesterday, and omg, it’s gorgeous! I was seriously tempted, but I was also tempted by a bajillion other things in the store, so I left before I got too spendy, haha.

I’m lazy with setting my mineral foundation. :\ When I do, though, I usually use a finishing powder (e.g. EM Silk Dust), or Fix+. If I don’t, I start looking like a mess shortly after.

i love the LORAC blushes that come with the palettes! this one looks like no exception :)

i used to think the same way about setting with powder when I was using Everyday Minerals only. But I find whenever I use Silk Naturals it will darken after a while so I have to set it with their perfecting powder to prevent that.

Aww bummer you didn’t get to do too much during your vacation, but it’s still nice to get away!! I wish I had gone too!

This LORAC palette looks gorgeous and you wear it so well! I have a lot of neutrals, but let’s see if I can find an excuse to get this one too ;)

This look is so pretty! I use Everyday Minerals foundation and Silk Dust as a finishing powder. I think the Silk Dust just makes my face look more flawless and airbrushed. I don’t think it makes my foundation last any longer though.

This is a gorgeous look – it really enhances your features, and I *love* the blush! I’m very impressed that just one palette can give you a whole look (minus things like foundation and mascara of course! A lot of palettes I have I never like everything in them.
