MAC Electro Flash Haul & FOTD

So on Wednesday I stopped by the MAC store close to where I live to check out the new collections that were coming out and to also to exchange for a lippie for Back2MAC.  When I walked into the store I didn’t see any of the new stuff so I asked this very nice MA if the new collections are out yet, and she said that they come out tomorrow (which was Thursday) but I could go and take a look at them in the back room, so I was like OK!  Wow I was pretty surprised that she let me see them ahead of time.   You guys know that normally I never get excited about new MAC collections, I always go check them out but usually leave disappointed, but this time, when I saw the new Electro Flash collection, I immediately fell for the Fresh Green Mix mineralized shadow duo.  When I swatched it, it was SO PIGMENTED and the colors were just perfect.  I asked the MA if I could buy one but she said that they are being released on Thursday and I wasn’t allowed to buy them ahead of time, so she told me to come back tomorrow.  I was so disappointed! I was busy the next day so I waited until Friday to drop by again and pick them up.  When I got there yesterday I was greeted by the same MA, who is by the way, absolutely gorgeous with perfect skin and impeccable makeup, and she remembered me! She gladly showed me where the collection was and left me alone to decide what I wanted.  So of course I immediately got the Fresh Green Mix shadow, along with Play on Plums, which is equally pigmented and pretty.

The BEST part was when I mentioned that I had stuff for Back2MAC, the MA said that the mineralized  eyeshadows qualified!! I always thought that you were only allowed a lipstick or lipgloss for B2M, but I had no idea that mineralized eyeshadow duos qualified as well! That just made it even better because I basically bought 2 shadows for the price of one.  In the past I always hated the mineralized stuff from MAC because they were chalky and unpigmented and just a big glittery mess, but I have to say these ones really impressed me, the pigmentation is incredible.

I LOVE both of the colors, they are the most perfect greens.

Play on Plums:

This one looks pretty boring and tame in the pan, but both colors are very rich and pigmented when applied and I like them because I actually don’t own any colors similar to these, especially the plum color.

The MA told me that Fresh Green Mix is selling fast, so I’m glad I got it before it was sold out!
