Best drugstore lipgloss

I am usually not a big fan of drugstore products, namely anything whose quality depends on its pigmentation, such as eyeshadows, lip products, etc.  I am especially picky with my lipgloss, because I have so many requirements that it needs to satisfy in order to be considered a “good” lipgloss, that most glosses just don’t cut it.  Too sticky, not glossy enough, too glossy, too runny, not pigmented enough, etc.  Drugstore glosses are usually either too runny or too sticky, never just right, and are almost always not pigmented enough so that when applied, it basically looks like clear gloss with some chunky glitter.  But with that said, I think I have found what I think is the best lipgloss that the drugstore aisles have to offer.

Yep, Revlon Super Lustrous lipgloss.  These glosses have the BEST texture ever, not too sticky, and not too runny, exactly the way that I like it.  Although, they’re not as nice as Dior glosses in terms of texture, but for a fraction of the price, this is as good as it gets.  Then comes the pigmentation, these are packed with color, and are not sheer like most drugstore glosses.  AND they come with SPF!! I don’t really care for the SPF but it certainly doesn’t hurt.

The ones in the above picture are Toast to Shine on top, and Glossy Rose on bottom.

I recently just bought a new color, and it is fast becoming my favorite lipgloss.  Meet Pearl Plum:

I got it because it reminded me a lot of MAC Jampacked lipgloss which I really like but didn’t get because I’m not a big fan of MAC’s super sticky glosses.  This one is nowhere near as sticky, and the colors are similar enough that it could defnitely pass as a dupe!  I think the Revlon one is less purple-y than the MAC one, but that also means that it’s more wearable.  It gives a very pretty translucent berry flush to the lips, it’s perfect for fall.

Swatches:

L to R: Toast to Shine, Glossy Rose, Pearl Plum

Look how pretty Pearl Plum is!!  Sooo perfect for fall.

Oooh thanks! Those colors are super pretty! I might try some of these glosses even though I normally shy away from drugstore anything =P

I’ve got the Glossy Rose one–mine looks darker and less pink than urs–did i get a defective one? x.x mine looks like it’s a rose color with a hint of brown in it.

i agree though, compared to the other lippies i’ve tried, i like the revlons as one of the best of drugstore lippies. The only other lipgloss right now that is almost almost as good is my neutrogena one–its moisturizing and has very good pigment and the glitters aren’t overpowering, just like revlon, except the Neutro. is a bit more sticky/thicker–which is what makes it “ranked less” than the revlon to me.

    AH!
    So they are awesome!
A few weeks back there was a sale on these babies, 3.99/4.99
And I was gonna pick one up, but decided against it cause I didn’t
    know any reviews on it.

Well now that I know, next time I won’t hesitate :)
    Thanks for sharing
